Celebration of Life Ceremony
"I would like to tell you about my experience with Jen from Life Passages. I lost my Mom at the beginning of 2015...far from her time by most standards...her passing was unexpected to say the least. Loss is hard no matter what...but, losing a Mother who raised you, an only child, as a single Mom, and, 20 to 30 years before expected was harder than anything I could...can imagine. That grief drove me to the things I knew...work, exercise, life...routine...routine was my coping mechanism. Months passed and every once in awhile I was asked when the service was going to happen and, I kept saying, "when I'm ready."
A number of months later, I was still on the fence as to if I felt ready, but, would I ever? More than that, I was then feeling as though the the planning of the service was something I did not know how to do and, could not seem to start. Enter Jen Paul of Life Passages. A friend of my Mom's sensed my struggle and recommended Jen. I kicked it off with an email and, from there I was blessed with the caring, sensitive, loving soul-Jen. We talked on the phone, discussing where I was...or was not, and where I wanted to go with the service and Jen kept the ball rolling from there. She helped me formulate a plan, work through challenges that came up and, helped keep me on schedule with my action items...she truly was a God send. There were a number of close friends who also had ideas and wanted to be involved and Jen worked with them to ensure everyone was working toward the same goal. Jen coordinated the location, music, people...everything save a couple of things only I could do.
The results were nothing short of amazing. The service turned out to be just what it needed to be...filled with love, laughter, music and shared stories of a much loved person who will be missed but whose spirit lives on in the hearts and minds of her family and friends. A number of people at the service said it was the most meaningful and moving Celebration of Life they had ever been to and, I completely agree, and, I have Jen and Life Passages to thank for that! So, Thank You Jen...Thank You for helping me send my Mom off to her next adventure with so much Love!"
