TESTIMONIALS:
From an attendee: "I attended a beautiful ceremony led by Jen Paul. It was unique, personal, meaningful and moving. This particular ceremony was created to let go, forgive and move beyond grief and sorrow." - Tracy Christ
Crone Ceremony: "I've known Jen Paul on a semi-close social level for a number of years. She started her business Life Passages at an opportune time for me. I had just received a breast cancer diagnosis a few months before my 59th birthday. Luckily, it turned out to be pre-cancerous and non-invasive, but nonetheless, it put my thoughts on the path of doing something to...well, I wasn't sure: consolidate my healing power? Show cancer I was not giving in? While I've designed ceremonies and rituals in my own business, I wasn't sure what I wanted or how to honor myself without being narcissistic.
Enter Jen and Life Passages. Jen heard in my words what I had not yet identified: that I wanted to honor my journey to this point, and reflect on what that meant for the journey that remains. Together, we wove an event, something more than my story; something to honor the role of the senior members of our society, a celebration of the interconnectedness of multi-generational community by honoring the role of the Crone.
While I dealt with the medical issues, and...yes, micromanaged elements of the event, Jen calmly followed behind, picking up every loose string I dropped and weaving it back into the vision and intention. When I was self conscious, she listened with empathy. When I struggled for words, she helped me find them. When I was overwrought, she sang to me, hugged and comforted me, and helped me to fully experience the celebration in the creation, the frustrations, anger, tears and grief, and the...hopefully, eventually graceful metamorphosis into a woman stepping into service of her community as a Crone.
The day of the event, Jen was the gentle force that kept everything on track, managed overlooked details, adapted to changes without a ripple, and emanated joy and peace throughout.
I'm not wealthy, and I didn't have to be to create a memorable event for myself and some of my community. Could I have done it myself? So beautifully? And still maintained my sanity? And enjoyed the event myself? No. To say that I couldn't have done it without her is an understatement. It would not have happened without her is more accurate. In other words, yes, it's worth it.
Pros: Calm, soothing presence, listens, no judgment, organized, spiritually-connected (non-denominational)
Cons: Not enough people know about and appreciate the value of a Celebrant....yet!" - NiCara Baldwin
